Chests are Reward items in Merge Mansion. They are used on the Main Board.
Gameplay Tips[]
Chests can be obtained through various Events or by completing various Tasks.
Chests drop contents depending upon the type, cannot be sold, and vanish once empty.- Some types of Chests require an opening period before any items can be gotten out.
Usage instructions[]
- Tap a chest to focus it.
- If the chest needs unlocking, tap the button to start the opening period.
- Wait for the opening period to finish, or speed it up with Gems.
- When the chest is both open and focused, and there is room on the board, every tap on the chest drops an item. If your board is full, nothing happens.
- When every item within the chest has dropped, the chest vanishes.

This chest has been renamed to Gold Coin Chest. All links that point to this section should be renamed.
Gold Coin Chest[]
The Gold Coin Chest gives Level 1-4 Gold Coins. It will vanish after 5 Drops.
It does not have an opening time and it cannot be merged. It does not require 
Energy to empty.
It can be obtained as a reward from leveling up (guaranteed), some Seasonal Event stages, and specific Tasks.

Energy Chest[]
The Energy Chest gives Level 1-4 Energy. It will vanish after 5 Drops. Based on the below drop rates, one chest will give the equivalent of an expected 8.5 
Energy (L1), thus two chests will on average give enough energy for an 
Energy (L5) with a little left over.
It does not have an opening time and it cannot be merged. It does not require Energy to empty.
It can be obtained as a reward from leveling up (guaranteed), some Seasonal Event stages, specific Tasks, and by purchasing from the 
Shop.

Brown Chest[]
Level 1: 1 min to open or 2

Merge 2 for Lvl 2 Brown Chest.
The Level 1 Brown Chest gives various items. It will vanish after 10 drops.
It does not require Energy to empty and can be obtained as a reward from leveling up (every other level), some Seasonal Event stages, and specific Tasks.
Tip: merge two UNOPENED Lvl 1 chests for the highest yield on Lvl 2. Previously you could tap out one of the Lvl 1 chests without losing any Lvl 2 drops, but after the December 2022 update that depletes the Lvl 2 drops. Two opened chests cannot be merged at all. Confirmed March 2023.
If you use a blue card to level up a Lvl 1 chest then don’t open the Lvl 1 chest beforehand as your new Lvl 2 chest will act like two depleted Lvl 1 chests was merged and only give you two drops.

Fancy Blue Chest[]

It does not require Energy to empty and can be obtained as a reward from leveling up (every other level), some Seasonal Event stages, and specific Tasks.

The Level 1 Red Chest gives various items. It will vanish after 6 drops.
It does not require Energy to empty and can be obtained as a reward from various tasks in the Great Hall, Hallway, and Study, or purchased in the Shop for 200.
If you use a blue card to level up a Lvl 1 chest then don’t open the Lvl 1 chest beforehand as your new Lvl 2 chest will act like two depleted Lvl 1 chests were merged and only give you two drops.

The Level 2 Red Chest gives various items. It will vanish after 13 drops if one Lvl 1 chest was already opened, and 24 22 (01.03.2023) drops if neither Lvl 1 chest was opened. This has changed to 14 drops with two unopened Lvl 1 cests (28.3.2024).
It does not require Energy to empty and can be obtained by merging two L1 Red Chests.

Mystery Pie[]
Mystery Pie was granted to all players during the first day of the Knitting Days event and has occasionally been given since.
- It can contain Energy and Time Skip Boosters.
- It starts as a Pie box. During tapping / dropping it levels up from level 1 to 4 (level 2: round pie; level 3: half pie; level 4: piece of pie)
- With the last "drop" it acts as a Time Skip Booster for ?? hours and vanishes.
