Holden is a photographer who works for the council of Hopewell Bay. He originally meets 
Maddie while wanting to take pictures of the mansion and Maddie's progress.
He had a relationship once with the journalist 
Jackie until he was fired from the Hopewell Bay Times, the newspaper they both once worked for, but has been forced to interact with her again after he acquired a job taking photos of the mansion's progress for the local council.
Story[]
When 
Maddie is beginning her scavenger hunt, she is interrupted by a man who claims his name is Holden and that he is the best photographer in town. He tells her that he works for the local council and that he was assigned to come and take pictures in order to document her progress. Maddie informs him she is still hard at work to which Holden states he would simply take a few photographs with the Ignatius Boulton statue before making his way through the estate.
Holden finishes taking pictures and winds up running into Maddie and Jackie. Jackie is a little upset, saying she thought when Holden was fired from the newspaper she was hoping that would be the last time they saw each other. He inquires as to why they ever dated and she claims it was a big mistake because all he wanted to do was look at himself on his phone. Holden doesn’t necessarily disagree and begins to tell Maddie that the council isn’t going to be pleased. He tells Maddie he knows about Ursula’s arrest and when Maddie becomes angry Jackie blows him off, insisting her and Maddie continue their scavenger hunt. (“Scavenger Hunt”)
Maddie makes her way to the Lighthouse, thinking her Grandpa Charlie might be there. She finds Holden who says that he missed taking pictures of certain places during his last visit and so he has returned. He tells Maddie she was supposed to stay away from the Wizard of the Lighthouse but when she questions him further he hints that the place has always been full of rumors.
Holden tells Maddie that the Wizard lived there alone for decades and that the place was akin to his magic tower and that the Wizard could control birds and speak a weird wizard language. Maddie tells Holden to go ahead with his photographs. Holden then tells Maddie that she needs to jump on trying to finish the mansion repairs quicker because his boss has it in for her and she doesn’t want an enemy. Maddie thinks nothing of it, believing the Wizard could be her Uncle Charlie. (“Lighthouse”)

Holden presents himself as a friendly when he meets Maddie during the Scavenger Hunt but another side is shown when he meets Jackie. The brief exchange between shows him being dismissive and cocky.

Holden wears a grey plaid 3-piece slim fit suit with a charcoal dress shirt and a magenta hankerchief. Since he is a photographer he also has a camera around his neck.
