Maintenance Room is the 9th Area in Merge Mansion. It opens up after completing the Side Entrance. Ultimately it grants access to the The Island. This was previously a very challenging area (see history section) but is now only of average difficulty.

Gameplay Tips

• This is the first area you will encounter that has a special producer: Maintenance Room Trunk. It is not recommended to open multiple areas with special producers at the same time due to inventory strain.
• Never sell the silver cutlery as one of the last tasks requires 3 Silver Cutlery (L3).
• This is the first area that requires an item from the Yarn (L1) chain. To begin, make a Bright Bronze Lantern (L6), which drops Moth (L1). Merge those up to Moth (L06), which then produces Silk (L1). Merging 2 Silk (L1) creates Yarn (L1).
• Bright Bronze Lantern (L6) drops one moth at a time into an adjacent empty space. Having 2 or more lower-level Lamps and putting them in an area surrounded by empty spaces makes collecting Moth (L1) faster.
• This area requires a surprising number of gardening items

Trivia

The dialogue references Grandma's arrest, even though this doesn't take place until later on at the end of the Pool Area.

History

It was the 25th area to be released by the developers in December 2022. It may have been moved earlier in the running order to satisfy complaints from players that the game was entirely taking place in the gardens of Beaumont Hall rather than in the "mansion full of mysteries". Due to being moved earlier in the running order, it was much harder than the surrounding areas. As of Autumn 2023, the area has been made significantly easier.
