The shop is where you can buy things for 
Coins and 
Gems, as well as real money.
It will become available after the Task 1-8 ("Rake leaves") in The Grand Drive is finished.
It can be found on the lower right hand side. The button looking like a shopping cart.
Items, 
Boxes, 
Energy Chest and 
Piggy Bank (I) bought in the shop will appear in the "chest slot" of the Garage between the shop button and the Inventory button. This can pose a problem if you want to save garage/ inventory space by not directly using the items in the chest slot, but want to use the items bought, as items in this slot can only be brought out into the garage in the cronological order they were acquired.
Energy, Gems and Coins will be added directly to the appropriate counter.
There are several parts to the shop.
Limited-Time Offer[]
Limited Time Offers are usually valid for 24 hours and can be bought for real money. They are not always available.

Flash Sale[]
In the Flash Sale part of the shop varying quest items can be bought for diamonds or coins.
6 differing Items will be available every 6 hours. These will not be the same each rotation. Moreover the price for any Item can vary from day to day. It might cost Gems on one day and Coins on the other. The amount of Currency spent can also vary.
The Sale resets every 6 hours and items in this area are limited in the quantity one can buy (usually 5).

The varying Boxes come available in the shop after you finish a quest with the respective Box as a reward.
There is no quantity cap on the amount of boxes one can buy.
The boxes increase in price every purchase, the plain box and green box increase by 10 every purchase, the blue box by 15 and the red box by 20.
The prices do not appear to reset with time.
